Beddard Roofing was appointed to carry out works on this Glossop-based business. The following points are how the project was undertaken and we achieved the programme with great customer satisfaction.
- Erect safety scaffolding around the building for the duration of the work
- Carefully remove and dispose of the ridge tiles, roof slates, laths and felt
- Carefully remove both chimney stacks to below roof level
- Check all timber and current insulation levels and advise accordingly
- Felt the roof using fully breathable roofing felt to meet BS5534 requirements
- Lath the roof using treated, graded laths to meet BS5534 requirements
- Carefully remove and dispose of the guttering, downspouts and all timber barge/fascia boards
- Fit new black plastic fascia, barge boards, guttering and downspouts
- Fit new lead work to the front valleys
- Fit new fascia ventilation and eve support trays
- Tile the roof using a smooth grey concrete roof tile to match the rear lower level roof
- Fit new dry verge system to all the gable ends
- Fit new ridge tiles using a dry ridge system
- Remove scaffolding and all debris from site
